Diving in Miami is warm water diving at its best. Its tropical water temperatures range between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius year around making it possible to dive in shorts. Most dive sites are accessible from shore or short boat rides and waves, currents are often quite good. Only drawback is probably the crowds and all the training divers.
Miami, the capital of Florida, is bordered by Biscayne and the Everglades National Parks. In between of the Caribbean and North America, Miami is often referred to as cruise destination port number one while its harbor is also one of the largest cargo ports in the world. It is a gateway for connection flights, a huge financial and cultural center and with its climate a heaven for tourists and people retiring from business. Miami is actually a conglomeration between Miami, Hialeah and Fort Launderdale, but its dense population goes on all the way North to Palm Beach Gardens. It is an area with the most beautiful beaches, the nicest water and a place with all the entertainment you can think of. Visit Miami Hotels for more information about accommodations.
Some of the better known dive sites at its door are the enormous steel freighter Deep Freeze and the famous shipwreck Bluefire, which was seized by American coastguards during Cuban immigration.
