It can be very crowded here as many dive boats from the Bahia Honda Channel visit this area. Sponges, coral ridges, overhangs, ledges, valleys and sand channels are some of the different dive profiles you can do around here. With all its prolific sea life Looe Key is one of the priority must-do dives when visiting the Florida Keys.
East of the reef is home of the HMS Looe, while its western side is more famous for its amount of many boulder corals. At the ocean side are several deeper high current dive sites with larger marine species such as jacks, barracudas, jewfish and filefish that hunt around the drop-offs. Also types of reef shark, rays and schools of fish can be found here.
