The Zion Train is a Dutch 164 feet long freighter transporting throughout Europe. In July 1997, when the vessel was operated by citizens from Haiti, it was attacked by criminals who shot five of the seven crew members from Haiti. Later it ran aground unmanned at South Beach where United States marshals sold it to Diving & Salvage Incorporation who prepared the wreck and scuttled it on June 2, 2003. Only the aft section of the Zion Train wreck is left and interesting for divers. Inside the steel hull you can visit the engine room and other compartments. The wreckage is not swarmed with fish but many goliath groupers, Spanish sardines are often spotted on and near the wreck.
