Snapper Reef is one of the few shallow reef dive sites just offshore Palm Beach. Its underwater landscape is defined by three round bowls or holes ringed by different types of soft and hard coral on a sandy ocean floor. The holes are surrounded by a one to four foot high ledge while the northern most hole has a small cavern which you can peek into. There are many schools of snappers that visit this reef in winter. Other juvenile tropical fish and reef fish are common as well, but don't expect to be blown away by colourful marine life. It is a nice site at such a short distance from Palm Beach, but definitely not the best in the area.
