A shallow dive site named Cable Crossing is located a mile offshore at only four miles south of Palm Beach Inlet. It received its name because of the large communication cable that runs trough it. Its underwater landscape consists of three foot high ledges stuffed with many honeycombed mini caves and thousands of juvenile tropical fish. Bring a dive light to explore all the small caverns and cracks inside the ledge as they are often full of small inhabitants. Diving is perfect for novice divers and snorkellers as almost all sights can be seen from the surface. Many dive shops come here for confined-water teaching where students are prepared as divers and where their underwater skills are tested.
