This fantastic wreck Sheridan is one of the best diving sites near Tampa.

The Sheridan was a 180 foot long ocean tug boat that sank inside the Pinellas #2 Artificial Reef Site near Tampa and Clearwater. The wreck lies fully upright, intact and lists slightly to starboard. She has many openings for entering the wreck which we only advise for experienced wreck divers. Its deepest sections are at 75 feet of water while the top can be found at only forty feet below the surface. So, when diving at this dive site, you can see parts of the ship during your whole dive.

The Sheridan is my favorite dive site - it was very eerie diving around this wreck that is listing starboard and having grumpy looking goliath grouper peer out at you from the inside. I was actually inside a huge ball of bait fish on more than one occasion and there were so many fish in the bait ball that a shadow fell over me and for a few moments I really couldn't see anything but fish.

This was a great dive! I saw tons of Jelly fish and the biggest Blue Line angel fish I had ever seen. It was probably about 18inched in length. ALSO got to see Goliath fish that was pretty big. Tons of bait fish every where suronding the wreck. I deco out on this dive as well and need to watch my computer a lot better on my next two dives.
