A bit east from Pensacola, at only 1.5 miles from the beach, are three very large coal barges to be dived at. Shell collectors love this area as the white sand is covered with conch, cones and sand dollar. It is also often visited by trainee divers and the marine life near these ships are healthy and numerous. Its profile rises to fifteen feet below the surface and touches the white sand at fifty feet deep. One of the reasons people like diving here is because loggerheads often visit this area.
