El Capitan is located six miles southeast of Windley Key and its large pile of rocks is fully overgrown with beautiful pieces of coral. The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS) protects this wreck and you'll receive a huge fine for taking anything away from the wreck.

I have recently discovered a handmade bronze spike from my late Uncle along with a letter stating that the spike is from the El Capitan of the Spanish Galleon from 1719. I am trying to discover more information about the spike. Any information would be great.
