One of the few beach dive sites around Palm Beach is Jap Rock located at the north end of Boca Raton public beach. It consists out of many small rocks even to above the surface, which are excellent to spot smaller marine and invertebrate life. Juvenile lobsters, sponges and soft coral are thriving here. Pay attention to the weather as large waves breaking on the rocks can create hazardous conditions. Always wear skin protection such as a wetsuit as it is easy to hit sharp rocks. It is a place where rip currents are very common so check conditions before diving here.
