San Jose doesn't have more than its internal structure, its ribs and keel recognisable left, but diving here is going to be one of your best experiences if you count in its history, exploration and imagination. Located about one mile east of Little Conch Reef she is the wreck where chances are best to spot something of value. In 1973 salvage operations found gold worth more than 30.000 United States Dollar in one of the newly explored sections at only 50 yards from the main wreck. The area around the wreck is beautiful as well with many sponges, coral, sea fans and several smaller fish.
