The Tex Edwards Barge is a very attractive dive site reachable at only seven miles southeast of the Pass. She was sunk in 1982 and is considered by many divers as one of the safest wreck dives in the area. The common species of pelagic and tropical fish can be found here in large numbers. Jacks, snappers, grouper but also blue angelfish and triggers can be found in several of the many compartment holes.

I dove this site on 9/26/08 and was definitely impressed. Visibility was around 40 feet and saw a wide range of marine life. This was my first open water dive and would recommend it for beginners on....
