There are not many places in the world where you can see dive at war items such as battle tanks. Here, inside the Mathew Lawrence Memorial Reef just offshore Miami Beach, are two M60 Army Tanks been scuttled underwater for sport divers in June 1994. They are often combined with the Mathey Lawrence wreck, all located in an overall dive site named 'Wreck Trek'.

It are two equal tanks from the Vietnam war weighing fifty ton each. The tanks are not very old yet but its growth of coral is phenomenal. Spiny oysters, morays, hard corals of the brightest colours and several types of sponges have covered the tanks already.

Over 1060 tons of lime rock boulders were added to the site to create a twelve foot high limestone boulder wall which separates the tanks, creating a great area for hundreds of little critters to play hide and seek. This wall is often referred to as Rock Pile and used to be an area where ships could safely anchor while waiting to enter the harbour of Miami. Many juvenile tropical fish such as angelfish, parrotfish and blennies have used all the cracks inside Rock Pile as their home.
