Another dive site on Alligator Reef is Alligator Gully just three hundred yards west of its lighthouse. It is quite similar to diving on the more crowded southern area of this reef, but this is the place to go if you like to explore and visit some of the quieter places. Coral valleys and coral studded ledges have given this area its name as they carve their way through the reef to create a kind of gulley full of all the marine life you wish for.
