The Dry Tortugas are the most western located islands of the Florida Keys, at more than 70 miles west of Key West. Some of the better known keys are Loggerhead Key, Garden Key, Long Key, Bird Key and Bush Key. If you are staying at shore it is possible to pick up your dive gear and head out to whatever reef you would like and participate in some spectacular shore dives. Boats are easy to arrange and can take you to secluded dive sites such as the famous Windjammer Avanti. Snorkelling can be done at all beaches and equipment can be rent everywhere as diving, snorkelling, boating, fishing and birding are the main activities that matter here.
