Dive site White Bank Gardens, White Bank Dry Rock or White Banks North and South is only four miles east of Rodriguez Key and two miles north of Molasses Reef. Its name White Bank Dry Rocks is often confused with Dry Rocks, the dive area of the famous Christ of the Abyss at more than eight miles north of here.
White Bank is a series of two shallow reef patches connected by a sandy channel. Located close to shore its currents are low, it is often sheltered from the winds and its visibility is often a bit lower than nearby offshore reefs such as French Reef and Sand Island. It is mainly a site that is visited by snorkelling tours and trainee divers. Nevertheless its fish and invertebrate life is enormous and diving along these shallow but brilliantly coloured coral reefs is still worth it.
