Diving at dive sites around Naples, Fort Myers, Boca Grande and Venice in the west of Florida.

Naples, Fort Myers, Boca Grande and Venice to the north are several places that are known to divers in this area as there are some spectacular dive sites to be done. Most planned artificial reefs sit between six and fourteen miles offshore. This area has some fantastic remote and deeper wrecks perfect for technical divers, but many wrecks and inshore dive sites for novice divers are great as well. Visibilities range from almost nothing near shore up till more than one hundred foot once farther out. The water temperature is warm year around and ranges between 65 and 90 Fahrenheit (19-32 degrees Celsius). There are often strong winds and choppy seas in winter, which reduce visibility.

Naples is a sunny beach destination where many tourists from all over the world travel to for some relaxing weeks (Naples Hotels). Top bars, nice entertainment, exclusive dining, golf courses and many other attractions to keep you entertained. Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park are some of the recreational area's to get away from the crowds. Thrilling Diving and fishing tours and for visitors that like some culture; there are some nice historical towns nearby.

The most famous wreck is probably the Bayronto, a huge freighter that sank because of a hurricane when it was fully loaded with wheat. Many other dive sites can be visited although most of the better ones require a long boat ride out into the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy this diving paradise.

Marco Island's Scuba Marco offers scuba diving trips and certifications for everyone from novices to experts, backed by the area's only full service dive shop.

We emphasize hospitality, fun, and patience. Marco Island is a relaxing, tranquil, world class vacation destination. That blends nicely with Capt. Jeff Dawson’s motto: “No Hurries, No Worries”. Southwest Florida diving is both exhilarating and serene due to the unique underwater structures there. Take relaxation to its deepest depth by doing some Southwest Florida diving and submersing yourself in the tropical Gulf of Mexico! Our "bigger than it looks" shop is a rustic Olde Florida house dating to the 1930’s. Listed on the Southwest Florida Historical Register, the shop is centered in Old Marco, a stone's throw from the Marco River and the world famous Snook Inn (where our custom 28’ Sportcraft SCORPION IV docks). The area is rich in Seminole & Caloosa Indian history and renowned for its artifact offerings, most notably the “Marco Cat” sculpture. Come experience an awesome Southwest Florida diving adventure with SCUBAdventures with Capt. Jeff Dawson and his crew on Marco Island.
