With Dry Rocks we mean the three smaller coral reefs Key Largo Dry Rocks, North Dry Rocks and North North Dry Rocks, located at only five miles southeast of mainland Garden Cove, Key Largo. Marine life in all of them is very vivid, coral types are very colourful and the healthy coral reefs are extremely shallow, topping the surface at low tide. Boats have to be careful in this area as traffic is heavy, mainly because of the many boat tours that visit the famous Christ of the Abyss. Most of the reefs are designated as a Sanctuary Preservation Area (SPA) which makes sure fishermen will not bother you with catching lobsters and shells. If you like fish and some Christianity, this is definitely a dive region to visit for divers as well as snorkellers.
